The History Gypsy is a country girl from the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. She received her BA in archaeology and history from the University of Evansville, and is currently working on her master’s in Public History. Her interests in history are US history, British history, women’s history, social history, and immigration history. Her research includes the communal societies of New Harmony, Indiana, British reformer Beatrice Webb, Welsh immigration to the US, and Quaker women in the colonial US. Her other interests include genealogy, reading, jewelry making, crochet, yoga, and tea.
